In Chapter 15, Alex rushes out of the house, armed with a harpoon, intent on finding a quick mode of transportation to get him to London before the Prime Minister presses the button at noon. Alex takes a Jeep from a guard, stealing his gun at the same time, and fixes the nylon string from his yo-yo to the harpoon before rushing toward the runway where a cargo plane is about to take off. A couple of other guards notice Alex. The guards rush toward Alex in two separate Jeeps, finally shooting one another in an attempt to shoot Alex.
