Ava from “Ava Wrestles the Alligator”

Ava is the 12-year-old narrator of "Ava Wrestles the Alligator." She and her sister, Ossie, are abandoned in their family's gator-themed park, Swamplandia!, for the summer while their father goes to the Mainland. Ava takes care of the gators and cleans the equipment while her father is away, but she is frightened of feeding the gators live birds.
