Summary

In Chapter 17, “Moonwalk,” Dash begins to consider how they might retrieve Dr. Holtz's phone. Kira believes she and Dash should go out together to find the phone despite the rule that no children are allowed outside other than to walk from the rocket to the base and back to the rocket. Kira points out that Dash hates being cooped up and that they will be safe if they stick together. Dash is not certain if Kira does not understand the danger or if she is really that reckless. Dash realizes he has to ask Zan, though he only tells Kira that there is an adult he can ask. Kira finally agrees, though she makes Dash promise they will go if his plan does not work out. Dash briefly sees Zan, but she puts him off and does not meet up with him later...
