Summary

Patricia searched all through James’ house by herself as Mrs. Greene cleaned. The house was suspiciously devoid of anything personal. Patricia was just about to leave when Mrs. Greene suggested she try the attic. Patricia crawled up the ladder and into the attic. She found all of Mrs. Savage’s old things. Patricia looked through them and discovered the body of Mrs. Savage’s cleaning woman, Francine, inside a suitcase. Patricia dragged the suitcase to the attic door, but then she heard James downstairs talking to Mrs. Greene and telling her he had come home early. Patricia quickly put the attic back the way she had found it.
