Dr. Wilbur Daffodil-11 Swain - Wilbur is the main character in the book, which is told from his point of view. He is almost 100-years-old when he begins his memoir from the Empire State Building. He and a twin sister, Eliza, were born in New York to Caleb and Letitia Swain. They each were born with twelve fingers and as many toes, an extra set of nipples, and Neanderthal features.
