Summary

Chapter 14: "In Which Kevin Googles Alpacas" starts the next Sunday. Simon's dad wants to convince the parish to celebrate Ordinary Time; or the days between Easter and Christmas Seasons. After this conversation, Simon walks to Kevin's house. There, he is horrified to learn that Kevin researched Simon's alpaca story, and this is where it is revealed Simon was the only survivor of his class during a school shooting. He begs Kevin to stop his mom from telling everyone, but Kevin says she will not listen.

In "A Note About Explosives," Simon only tells his parents after a pointless fight. They worry his father will be accused of dishonesty, but they also want Simon to choose when to share his own trauma. Then, he realizes he has not told Agate.
