Ben's house

Ben's house is portrayed in 2010 as somewhat dilapidated. When Mimi becomes unfit to live anywhere but a retirement home, it seems to have fallen into a relative state of disrepair, as Ben grows older and can no longer keep up with it the same way he and Mimi were once able to. At the same time, it remains full of memories, and Sarah finds herself overcome with emotion when she visits the house in which she grew up. Ben also laments the passing of time from this house he lived in for 40 years, recounting how the people around him have moved in and out of the neighboring houses, but he has become less familiar with them over time.
