Summary

In Chapter 9, Sierra takes a look at Wick’s notes. Wick writes about how Brooklyn honors its local spirits and says that Lucera, whom the shadowshaper mythology regards as being its center, has disappeared. Without her, the murals that connect the spirits to the present will fade and the connection will be lost. The papers also mention Sierra’s grandfather‘s name and that her gandfather an outsider cannot understand the secrets of the shadowshapers. Sierra goes to work on the mural. The usual guys are there joking around. When she asks Manny about Vernon and the shadowshapers, he tells that her grandfather was a good storyteller and says that the shadowshapers was an old boys club. He says Robbie can tell her more. She tells Robbie that he can tell her about them as he walks her home.
