16-18 Summary

The war between Kalgan and Foundation is now underway, but all Dr. Darrell can think about is the safety of his daughter. However, he knows what he is doing at the moment is more important in terms of the majority of the people and for that reason he has to go along with it. Darell meets with Seimic and tells him he (Darell) needs him to build a resonator. Seimic tell him that for what Darell wants, Seimic would need 50 hyper relays, which is more hyper relays than he has ever seen in his life. Darell says it is a matter of state importance and therefore he will get them. Anchor knocks at the door and Darell quickly tells Seimic not to say a word to then others. Already both their lives are at risk and there is no point implicating anyone else...
