Main Country

The little boy's main country is the primary backdrop for the short story. This is the country in which the boy, the father, and the mother live together. Although the boy's mother is from this country, the boy's father is from another unnamed country.

With the exception of the boy's two trips to the secondary country, the only access the boy has had to this setting is via the phone. While he is at home in the main country with his parents, he often talks to his grandparents on video calls.
