The Yellow Bus

The yellow bus takes Cap and the other children to school. One time Cap has to take over the driving when Mr. Rodigruez, the bus driver, has a heart attack. Cap drives the bus to the hospital where he is immediately arrested.

Tye-dye clothes

Tye-dye is a method of dying your clothes in a variety of colors. Cap wears tye-dye clothes and holds a tye-dyeing lesson, which allows everyone to take the afternoon off.

Peace Sign

The peace sign is the hippy sign of peace - a type of arrow inside a circle. Rain wears a peace sign on her forehead.

The Mercedes

At the end of the story, Rain arrives at Garland in a white Mercedes she has brought with the money she received for selling her property.
