Chapters 33 and 34 Summary

Katie wakes up exhausted from tossing and turning all night after her argument with Alex the night before. Katie's intuition is telling her something is wrong, but she doesn't know what it is. Katie goes to Jo's house and tells Jo she and Alex had a fight last night. Jo urges Katie to go to Alex and apologize, assuring her it's never too late to apologize.

Katie goes into her house and gets ready. She gets on her bicycle and heads toward Alex's store. When Katie sees Alex, she apologizes. Alex accepts her apology. Alex is being exceptionally quiet, but when she tries to leave, he stops her.

Kevin hopes Erin is at home when he arrives. He drives through Wilmington and then reaches Southport. He detours around the fair, which is the fair Katie, Alex and the kids are heading...
