Summary

In chapter eleven, Luke is already working on Eliana's testimony though the trial is not slated to begin for several months. Layla heads to the jail to visit Holly. She walks several blocks to the jail and looks around for reporters, but sees none. She passes through the check point without incident. As she waits to see Holly, Layla remembers the last time she and Holly had been together, soon after Holly identified Marcus's body. Layla shakes away that painful memory. The conversation begins on a polite note. Holly apologizes if her mother was rude to Layla. Layla asks Holly to tell Will the truth about her relationship with him but Holly refuses.
