Summary

The fiftieth quatrain continues the theme of the hair dividing truth and falsehood and references “THE MASTER” to suggest a master of the universe who has arranged human fate. The fifty-first quatrain says that the master and creator leaves a mark on all creations, lives within them, from everything from moon (“Mah”) to fish (“Mahi”) (50).

The fifty-second quatrain describes how the creator of things sits back and watches all the drama of his creation unfold like a play, not intervening. The fifty-third quatrain poses a peculiar question to the pious person who gazes at heaven as a mere mortal seeking answers: how will you do this in the future when you are dead? The crux of this sentiment is that the celestial bodies and otherworldly divinities offer no solace or ultimate truth for humanity.
