The Wrecking Yard

The wrecking yard symbolizes Isaiah's life. Just as cars can go there to be destroyed or parts can be found to rejuvenate the life of a car, Isaiah finds both an end and a new beginning in the wrecking yard. In the process, though he could wreck his life and that of others if he makes the wrong choices. At the beginning of the narrative, Isaiah finds the car involved in the hit-and-run. It is in TK's wrecking yard. Later, he also meets Grace there. Finding the car allows him to complete his investigation into Marcus' death. Meeting Grace allows him to move towards a new beginning in his life.
