Summary

Chapter 4 focuses on Brother’s sister, whom the narration refers to only as Sister. After graduating from university, Sister remained in England. The narration notes the history for racial oppression of African and Asian minorities in England, similar to such oppression in the United States. Despite these oppressive dynamics, Sister became an accomplished lawyer and managed to become the first non-white woman elected to Parliament.
