Mia writes Tina a note. She asks Tina all sorts of questions about kissing because Mia realizes that even if she is able to land Michael, she doesn't know what to do after that. Mia consults with Tina.

That day in Grandmere's suite, Mia tries on dozens of Sebastiano's design to choose a gown for her television debut. Mia ends up confessing everything to Sebastiano about not having anything to wear to the winter dance and about loving Michael. Sebastiano points out that Michael wouldn't do what he does for her, such as tutoring Mia in algebra if he didn't like her back. Sebastiano promises to choose something for her to wear to the ball.
