Day 5 Summary

Jack wakes to find that Julia hasn't been home. She'll later say that she called, but Jack doesn't believe her. Though Eric asks about his mother, he seems to not want to know the answer. Jack calls his sister, Ellen, a psychiatrist. She tells him that he's being "passive" because he doesn't want to talk to Julia, a lawyer or a counselor. She says that she has a couple of free days and plans to come for a visit. She instructs Jack to tell Julia that she's coming to help out with the kids. Jack notes that psychiatrists who can clearly see others can never see anything but fantasies about themselves.

Later in the day, Jack gets a call from Tim Bergman, the man who took over Jack's position at MediaTronics. He says Don Gross - the man who'd fired Jack - wants...
