Summary
After spending the night with Taku, the son tries to ask what their connection is, but he shuts down when the conversation edges toward his mother and the complicated situation he is managing in Tokyo. That evening at Alan’s bar, Fumi announces that he and Binh have ended their relationship, and the regulars respond with jokes and gossip that turn the breakup into shared entertainment. A new man sits by the door watching the son. When the son pushes outside, he is hit by a sudden wave of shaking, heat, and breathlessness. The stranger follows him outside and stays close until the son can steady himself and move again.
The son returns home late to find the mother asleep on the couch, and he quietly adjusts her pillow before stepping onto the balcony. He sees several messages from Taku but does not answer...
