Chapters 24-26 Summary and Analysis

In chapter 24, Shirley spends the following morning alone, thinking about all David has told her. Eventually David catches up with her and gives her a bracelet that matches one he always wears, one that is supposed to provide for her more clarity. Together they go to the mineral baths and David begins to tell Shirley what Mayan has told him about God. Mayan describes the soul as the energy within matter that makes the electrons and protons with an atom rotate around one another, to create the atom. This force is called the Source, or the soul, and it comes from the Divine Source, or God.
