Summary

Prologue – Ed Nicholls and Ronan are approached by Sidney of Investacorp, which now owns half the shares in Ed’s company, Mayfly. Sidney wants to know if Ed has given Deanna Lewis any inside information about the new SFAX software. Sidney reveals the police, along with two men from the Financial Services Authority, are going through Ed’s office, as Deanna’s brother’s hedge fund made 2.6-million pounds on the first day of trading after Deanna told her brother SFAX’s launch would be enormous. Ed admits to talking to Deanna about SFAX, but denies any wrongdoing. Sidney tells Ed he is suspended, and two uniformed men arrive for Ed.
