Summary

In Chapter 16, Bronwyn reports that the story of Simon’s death has been featured on a national television news program, Mikhail Powers Investigates. Producers from the show had been trying to get in touch with Bronwyn and her family all week but they had not responded. Neither of the other students had talked to them either. Maeve is looking at the 4chan sites on which she discovered that Simon posted. She shows Bronwyn one celebrating a boy who carried out a school shooting. Maeve suggests he, perhaps, made an enemy there.

While watching the show featuring Simon’s death with her family, Bronwyn is most interested when Eli Kleinfelter, a lawyer from Until Proven, is interviewed. He says if he were involved in the case, he would suggest that the police look for someone else who might have had a motive to...
