Summary

The father enforces an extended lockdown on the apartment in which he keeps all of the windows completely covered with blinds and cardboard. Also, at least one of the boys has to be home with him at all times. The brother makes attempts to call their mom, but she says she cannot help them, so they devise a plan to steal their father’s car keys and drive back to Kansas once the brother gets his next paycheck. Meanwhile, in the darkness of the apartment, the father obsesses over keeping the house in perfect condition, however he has stopped taking care of himself and his personal hygiene completely.
