Summary

Chapters 21 - 25 include the first half of Book Three: Another One Bites the Dust, all told from Jupe’s first person perspective. The title page is a display of a cell phone showing a list of songs all by the artist Queen. Each chapter is the name of a Queen song and underneath it the album and the year it came out. Chapter 21, “Save Me,” starts as Jupe reels from Rae’s confession. She keeps telling herself she is fine through the fourth person, as though coaching someone else: “Yes, the girl you came to pour your heart out to cut you off to tell you she thinks she might be in love with your (male) best friend” (197).
