Summary

In "Hollow," West saw the "flashing orange lights" that signaled "a new Arrival" in the hatch (109). Another baby had been sent from Earth. When she opened the vessel, she stared at "the sleeping baby" (109). Then West found an envelope in the baby's blankets. When she opened it, she could not believe what she was reading.

West gave the letter to Rex. The letter said that the Perfects were coming from Earth. Years ago, West, Rex, and their companions, had been deemed the UnPerfects. The Perfects had tried to kill them off. Once they tired of the killing, they decided to send the Unperfects away. If the Perfects found them now, they would kill them. West and Rex knew they were in danger and needed an escape.
