Chapters 40-43. Part V, Morning After, The Lesson of the Nymphs, Division of Duties Summary

In Part V we see a woman that is part of the dark magic occult group, kneeling in front of a spell book practicing her spells amidst candle lights, and various symbols on the floor. She reminisces how her nanny practiced magic using dried body parts, and what led to her success . She now doesn't need to use ash any more. She tests the spells, igniting the air. In order to keep her group involved in experimentation with magic she needs to keep killing its members.
