Isabella or Sojourner Truth

Isabella was born in New York of at least eight children. She only grew up with one of them. She was the daughter of James and Betsey. She was liberated under the act of 1817 which freed slaves who were at least forty. This is her narrative of her life. She moved from slavery to freedom.
