The Speaker's Life
The poem takes place in and around the speaker’s life. The speaker declares that their life is the size of their life, meaning that the speaker embraces their life exactly as it is. Even if the speaker cannot see what happens inside them on a cellular level, they are aware of the microscopic processes that allow them to live. The speaker’s life is not static. It moves, travels, and changes emotional states. The speaker recalls an instance of needing a break in order to witness the lives of others. Traveling allows them to fall back in love with their own existence.
