Summary

In the summer, Henry joined Rana and her friends Seham, Hugh and Lucy, on a road trip to Spain. Khaled and Seham, who was Palestinian, bonded over their shared cultural roots. They drove through France to Spain. At the border, a guard questioned Khaled’s documents and initially refused to let him exit France, claiming his paperwork was not in order. They managed to convince the guard to let them through and that Khaled would rectify the situation once in Spain. They crossed the border.
