Chapters 36-40 Summary and Analysis

In Chapter 36, Morena, RIP, Reymundo's best friend, his "big sister" Morena was killed in a drive-by shooting by Imperial Gangsters. Reymundo retaliated by shooting two Imperials. One was killed, the other crippled for life. King Dino was arrested and convicted of the crime. Under the code of the gangs, Dino must take the blame and could not inform on another member of the Kings, so he was sent to jail for twenty years for a crime Reymundo committed.

In typically illogical gang thinking, the Kings decided to take revenge on a coalition of other gangs for Morena's death, rather than taking revenge on the Imperials who killed her.
