Charlotte and Emily sit in front of the television at the Delorio's pretending to watch but whispering about what might have happened. When Vic checks on them with a gun in his hand, they are a little more concerned, but then a knock at the door takes him down the hall. He opens the door to find Marty standing there, wet and looking disheveled. Vic asks what is going on, but Marty is incoherent and unresponsive. Vic keeps trying to get information from him, but then the girls run down the hall and into his arms. He crouches, holding them, murmuring things that make less and less sense.
