Chapter 11: The Lost Dog, Act II, Scene 1

Max was riding his bike from the Baroness’ castle when he suddenly remembered that the dog was in Joachim’s garden. How could he have forgotten?! The Baroness had been so all consuming that everything else escaped Max’s mind. Oddly, Joachim’s gate was locked. He ran around to the front of Joachim’s house, and his front door was open. Something was strange. Joachim always locked his front door and never locked his backyard gate. Where was Joachim and where was the dog?
