Summary

In Chapter 21, when Marnie arrives at Blix’s house, she is greeted by Lola, Blix’s neighbor. As Marnie is struggling to find the key to fit the lock on the front door, she and Lola hear footsteps inside. Marnie is surprised when Noah opens the door. After a tour of the house, Marnie and Noah go up to the roof. Noah tells Marnie that he was there when Blix died. He said that when he and Whipple got to Africa for the fellowship, it turned out that Whipple did not have all of the necessary paperwork and they wound up getting kicked out of the country.
