Chapter Twenty-one Summary

Chapter Twenty-one starts with Annabelle dressing for her birthday party with her family. A few days have passed since she fired Heath. Annabelle is not looking forward to the party. One of the family parties had been an intervention to force Annabelle into their family mold. She had arranged a date with Dean Robillards. Just as Annabelle was adding the finishing touches, the phone rang, and it was Heath. He teased her about the sex catalogue he had picked up at her house some time before. As he hung up, the doorbell rang. She opened the door to find Heath. It seemed that Dean had been hijacked by Kevin to watch football film with him.
