'In the Asylum', 'Going Underground', 'Through the Witch's Door' Summary

The next day, Reason visits the asylum to see her mother. She is too early for visiting hours, but the receptionist tells her to wait and she will see what she can do. As Reason sits in the waiting room she remembers her mother being brought to the hospital. Sarafina had had to have her stomach pumped and her wrists bandaged. The police and social workers talked to Reason. She then went back to Sarafina's room to see her mother, but Sarafina had screamed at Reason to get out. Reason had never seen her rave this badly before, and had never experienced her turn on her own daughter either. This was the last she saw of her before going to Esmeralda's house.

Now a nurse takes Reason...
