Act 3, Scene 3 Summary

The Murderers lie in wait for Banquo in a park near the Palace. When Banquo and Fleance come, they set upon Banquo. He calls on his son to escape, which he does, successfully. Banquo is vanquished.

Act 3, Scene 3 Analysis

Since Banquo's son still lives, Macbeth has not yet circumvented the Witches' prophecy that Banquo's successors will be Kings.
