Summary

In “Don’t Nobody,” the narrator decides to tell the reader a story that he has never told anyone, which he thinks nobody will believe. In “My Name Is,” the narrator introduces himself as Will. In “I’m Only William,” Will reveals that his brother Shawn was shot and died the previous day. In “I Don’t Know You,” Will tells the reader that they do not want to see their loved ones bloody and dying, like he has had to experience. In “The Sadness,” Will relates the intense anguish he feels to someone pulling one of his teeth. In “It’s So Hard to Say,” Will struggles to grasp the fact that his brother is dead, even though he does not find it very surprising.
