Summary

When Gee tells Mickey that she already has her baby and does not need to worry about another one, Mickey realizes how cold and unwelcoming her grandmother really is. She has the urge to take Thomas away and never bring him back. As Mickey leaves, Gee tells Mickey to leave Kacey alone.

Even though Thomas cries, Mickey leaves him with Mrs. Mahon and drives to the address on the card sent by her father. Mickey remembers that she was never friendly with her father because Gee always blamed him for Lisa’s death. She remembered the last time she had seen him. They had gone to the Philadelphia Zoo. His pager had buzzed endlessly. He finally took them home early.
