This is where Lonnie and the characters of this novel live. There are only a few places described in detail, and these all seem to be fictional places, such as the individual homes where Lonnie and Lili live. Most of the other specific settings, including the school Lonnie attends and the neighborhood where he lived when the fire killed his parents, are not described in detail.

Miss Edna's Apartment

This is where Lonnie lives following a stay in a group home. Lonnie describes the day he first arrived, when Miss Edna showed him around the house. She pointed out the bedroom Lonnie would use and pointed out another room that she told him he was never to enter. He says he never has entered that room.
