Summary

Chapter 33 is written from Strike's perspective. Strike runs into Charlotte, his ex-girlfriend, at the reception. She is pregnant with twins. She explains why she is there. Her husband, Jago, is in the United States. When she asks whether he is seeing someone, he says that he is not just as Robin comes into his sight. Charlotte notices Robin and recognizes her even though Strike denies that the woman is Robin. Charlotte is talking about the type of women Strike likes when Izzy sees her.
