Structure
Leonardo Da Vinci is divided into thirty-three chapters of unequal length. The thirty-third chapter serves as a conclusion and is titled as such, however the introduction precedes chapter one and is not included in the chapter numbers. The book closes with a very short coda less than a page in length which is also excluded from the chapter numbers. The book also features significant supplementary material both before and after the main manuscript pages. The preliminary material includes a list of main characters, a note on the currency of the era and cover illustration, as well as a list of the primary periods in Leonardo's life and where he lived during each period. This is followed by a colorfully illustrated timeline of his life and work.
