Steven
Stevie Thomas is a junior high school student. He aspires to be a sports writer one day and so he enters a writing contest with the U.S. Basketball Writers Association. Stevie is one of the two winners of the contest, which entitles him an opportunity to cover the Final Four Championship as a student reporter.
Stevie travels with his father as his chaperone to New Orleans, where the championship game takes place. Stevie became a huge basketball fan when his father started taking him to Philadelphia's Big Five when Stevie is four years old. In addition to being a huge basketball fan, Stevie is also a fan of several famous sports reporters, which Stevie reads religiously in hard-copy and on the Internet.
