Summary

In Chapter 37, Agnes and Dominika struggled to get Gorelikov’s body down to the beach and then into the USV when it finally arrived. They were worried sentries would hear the noises being made by the waves crashing into the vehicle on shore but Agnes made it off without being caught.

It was noon the following day before Gorelikov was missed. A search of the island revealed Agnes was missing as well. Dominika said it would be obvious that Gorelikov was the mole if any SVR assets were arrested in the United States in the coming week. She volunteered to be the one to tell Putin of Gorelikov’s suspected defection.

Meanwhile, Audrey was waiting for SUSAN to meet her, sitting on a bench on a raised boardwalk on Theodore Roosevelt Island. She was unaware that she had been being followed all day...
