Chapter Thirteen Summary

The end of the year party is crowded and Annabel arrives late. The first person she heard was Emily who takes her to Sophie. Sophie is already bored, although it is still early. A group of guys arrives and Will Cash is among them. He gives Sophie a nod on the way in, and Annabel goes to get a drink but the crowd is so dense that she ducks into an alcove under the stairs. Will notices her and ducks in beside her. As usual, she becomes tongue tied around him and finds herself muttering some inane comments about family drama. Annabel pushes out of the alcove at her first opportunity, running into Emily again.
