Cornwall, in the southwest region of England, is the main setting of the novel where the narrative occurs. The novel is set during medieval times. Juniper's father, Marcus, is king of Cornwall.

Castle Dore

Castle Dore is Juniper's home with her parents, Marcus and Erlain, in the Wooden Palace in Cornwall.

Wooden Palace

The Wooden Palace is the site of an ancient fort where King Mark builds Castle Dore. This is his court. Meroot and Gamal come to live in a house that King Mark has built for them at the Wooden Palace.

Euny's Hut
