Section XII, Chapters 35 through 37 Summary

Isaac travels to Templestowe Castle where the Templar Knights headquarters lies. He wants to negotiate for his daughter's release. On the way, Isaac stays with his friend, Nathan, who advises him to avoid going to Templestowe since Lucas de Beaumanoir, the Grand Master of the Templars who hates Jews, is staying at Templestowe presently. Isaac ignores this warning and continues on his journey. When he arrives at Templestowe Castle, Isaac asks to speak with Brian De Bois-Guilbert, but is directed to Grand Master Lucas de Beaumanoir instead. Isaac carries a letter for De Bois-Guilbert from Prior Aymer of Jorvaulx which de Beaumanoir has a servant read to him. The Prior's letter requests that Brian De Bois-Guilbert release Rebecca to her father for a ransom. Unfortunately, the letter also refers to the lack of temperance that Prior Aymer...
