Summary

Chapter 13

Tris apologizes to Christina about Will. Christina refuses to speak. Uriah tries to make things better by saying that Tris had to do what was necessary to survive. If she hadn’t killed Will, they would have become Erudite slaves. Tobias tells Tris they will discuss the matter later.

Tris feels like she is coming apart at the seams. She takes off and spends the night in the interrogation room. She throws a chair through the window with the intention of jumping out the 18th floor window. Tris rethinks her actions after pondering that her parents died for her. She owes it to them to stay alive.
