Summary

Chapter 24 is titled “Not a Date, Part 3 of 3.” Evie introduces X to Cassidy, Sophie, and Martin at the beach. As they all sit around the bonfire, Evie remembers the last time her family was together at the beach before her father left. X asks if Evie is okay. The friends all get to know each other and take turn asking questions, such as how long is too long to have unrequited feelings for someone and whether or not to know when someone was going to die. X says he would not want to know because it would take the fun out of life; Evie says she would like to be prepared. Later, X tells Evie that he likes her friends and they share their first kiss.
