Crystal Eagle, Dark Swan; Chapter 1-3 Summary

Chapter 1 begins with Finn chained to a stone as he watches a machine come at him. Finn is the bait for a trap and it works as those running the machinery stop to help him. When they stop the band of thieves that Finn works with attack the machine. Many of the people from the machinery convoy die but Finn claims one woman, Maestra, as his prize and refuses to let her be killed because she had recognized a tattoo on his arm. The mark is an eagle with a crystal and Maestra claims that her group has the object at their home.
