Summary

Chapter 5 is very short and explains the beginning of the recruitment process. Word was out among the girls that Coach Moyer planned to run a tight ship, and that there would be very physically demanding drills throughout the season. More girls showed up than just the main ones in this book. There were a lot of fresh faces. He warned them that he needed team-builders, not team-busters. He didn't need players who were looking for fame and were competitive with each other. Jamila was going to be point guard for the sixth year in a row. Jen said jokingly that she wanted to be “a shooting guard and a scoring forward and the water girl.”
